Welcome to the Preschool Program...
Our Preschool program services children 3 years to the day they enter Kindergarten. This space is designed using "stations" to allow your child to explore new things including their independence. This program does not break for summer months; instead the group shifts to science lessons which include building their own garden of fruits and vegetables in the playground. Observations and Assessments are completed in this room using Ages & Stages, OUNCE and Work Sampling.

* Due to the lack of a changing area this program requires all children to be actively potty training or fully potty trained.
Curriculum:
The preschool classroom uses stations to offer your child a variety of experiences throughout the day. Each station is designed using different curriculum pieces. Curriculum in this program is rewritten each year to ensure that the individual needs of the currently enrolled children in the classroom are being met. We feel that there isn't one curriculum that "covers it all" for our kids and so we like to use pieces from a few.
Art
This room is filled with child created masterpieces! Art is a large piece of the daily curriculum in this space because it gives your child the opportunity to express what is uniquely their own. |
Science
A time for exploration! Young children love to discover new things and we incorporate activities to help them do just that. |
Math
Learning about numbers, shapes and colors is something that begins early on in our programs. Math concepts are also taught through cooking activities. |
Language
Reading and writing is a part of everyday life and by introducing these concepts at an early age we believe it will help promote positive literacy experiences later on in life. |
Gross Motor
Running, jumping, skipping and hopping! We spend as much time in the fresh air as possible! |
Health
Personal care routines are learned in the classroom each day. Your child will learn about the dentist, how to put on their own coat and how to tie their shoes. In the summer months, the preschoolers have a garden they take care of in the playground. |
Music
Music is a great way for young children to express themselves. Children in this program recite songs and poems and a soft choice of music is played during their rest period. |
Fine Motor
Fine motor skills are important for everyday use such as tying your shoes or turning a door handle. Activities in this station may include lacing beads or cutting with scissors. |
Parent Communication:
Our program uses Tadpoles! This allows us to not only record your child's daily activities such as nap, meals and what they played with but also has an option for us to attach photos and video right to the sheet! At the end of each day, your child's daily report is emailed directly to your inbox. Not only is the information confidential but convenient!

Enrollment:
Our Preschool program is designed to give parents options that work best for them. We have a full and part day enrollment and parents can choose to have their children attend 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week. Enrollments include meals at no additional charge.
Full Day: The full day enrollment would be for a family looking for more than 5 hours per day. We also offer "extended hours" for families who need 11 or 12 hours in a day. Additional fees apply. |
Part Day: The part day enrollment would be for a family who is looking for 7:30am to 12:00pm and includes breakfast, morning curriculum, outside play (weather permitting) and lunch. |

Supply List for Preschool:
For safety reasons, we ask that children wear sneakers to the center each day.
- 1 Complete change of clothes
- Blanket & pillow for nap time
- Full unopened package of pull ups (if your child uses them)
- A light jacket or sweatshirt (except in the winter months)
- Sunscreen: lotion only, with valid expiration on the bottle (between the dates of May 1 – September 30)
It feels like a family atmosphere here and my son seems to love it! I love how they offer "date nights" for parents and the activities/trips they organize for families, like apple picking! Tadpoles is definitely one of my favorites! Read More...
