We provide your child's meals for you!
EMLC, Inc. is a participant of the food program. Therefore each day that your child is in our care they will receive a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. The facility is equipped with a full kitchen so that all of our meals can be prepared on site. For infants 6 weeks through 11 months of age, we supply all baby food. This is made onsite daily using fresh or frozen organic products only. We also provide Gerber Good Start formula or Similac Soy if your child uses one off these. Families may choose to use a different brand of formula or even breast milk if they like, we just ask that you provide us with it. |
What types of food do you serve?
Our menu varies week to week and is prepared on site. We try to design the menu to be more comparable to what you may be making at home such as baked chicken, potatoes in the oven or baked mac and cheese. We do not like to serve processed foods like chicken nuggets and fish stick very often. We understand that these are considered "kid foods" but we want to give your child opportunities to explore some other foods. A fruit and vegetable is served each day with lunch. Our vegetables are always fresh or frozen, they are never served out of a can. For snacks, some of the things we serve include animal crackers, cereal bars or graham crackers.
Infant meals are handled a little differently. We have a form for families to complete so that we can create menus based on food that your child has already had.

My child is a picky eater...
Don't worry, your not the first parent to think this. What we have found is most things that parents think their child will not want to eat they do when they are here. This may simply be because they are in a group setting with their peers. However, we do not want any child to ever be hungry and therefore, an alternative meal is offered for breakfast and lunch each day.
