If you do not have subsidy and are interested in receiving assistance with your tuition bill, you can contact them at 1-570-468-8144 or visit their website here.
What if I need services on a day I am not scheduled to attend
No problem. You can simply request to "add a day". As long as we have a space available, you are welcome to take it. The fee is $25.00 per day for any added day outside of your contract.
What do I have to bring?
Parents are required to provide a very limited amount of things. Each supply list is located on the program pages.
How often do you close?
Our center is scheduled for 14 closures each year and these are paid closings which means that the families tuition does not change. The days we close for include: New Years Eve & New Years Day, President's Day, Good Friday & Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving Day & Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas..
Is your center licensed?
Yes. We are licensed through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. We are also a participant of Keystone Stars and PreK Counts.
What is Keystone Stars? Do you participate?
Yes, we do! We were honored to receive the first Star 4 rating in Susquehanna County in October of 2012! Keystone Stars is a quality rating scale that helps centers establish the best programs possible for the families they serve. You can learn more about the program here.
Are your teachers qualified?
Our team is made up a dedicated educators with various levels of experience from CDA certificates to a master's degree in education. Each staff member is required to complete 30 hours of training each year. In addition, each staff member has the required clearances and health assessment need to work in a childcare center.
What do the children do all day?
Lots of things! Each classroom has a curriculum that includes activities to keep your little ones very busy. Our activities are designed to align with the Pennsylvania State Standards so that we can ensure that your child's developmental milestones are being met. We are also flexible in how the activities are delivered because we understand that each child learns differently.
How much TV do children watch while at the center?
We believe in teachable moments and therefore we do not have televisions in the classrooms. During the summer months when our school age camp program is here we will allow them to watch a movie on an afternoon when the weather isn't cooperating or sometimes on a snow day. This is done during nap time so that the only the school age children can view the movie without any of the other children getting upset.
What if someone other than me comes to pick up my child?
We have a policy and steps that are followed by all staff to ensure the safety of your child at all times while in our care. When you enroll, you will determine who can pick up your child and even then we will require identification when they arrive. For those who you do not have on the list, they will be turned away at the door. if you have a situation where someone who is not on the list needs to come we have steps that can be taken. This will be discussed at orientation.
I would recommend the center to anyone with a young child. They all deserve a HUGE pat on the back"
